THE BRIEF

Havas Sports & Entertainment, as the partnerships & activation agency for NRMA Insurance (part of the IAG group), are tasked with identifying suitable partnership opportunities for the brand, aligned to the campaign of "Every Home Is Worth Protecting" and brand ethos of "HELP"

THE PASSION

Wild Koalas could be extinct in NSW & Qld by 2050 due to a combination of deforestation, bushfires and climate change. The recent bushfires over the summer of 2019 saw mass devastation in areas of key Koala habitat, devastating healthy populations. HSE recommended that NRMA partner with The Port Macquarie Koala Hospital (PMKH) to provide urgent care items and support during this time and are now working on the long-term partnership plan centered on PMKH becoming the leading koala hospital breeding facility in the world

THE WORK

​The NRMA "Every Home Is Worth Protecting" TVC wasre-edited and re-voiced by “Jurassic Park” actor Sam Neill to draw awareness to the important partnership and encourage Australians to join the cause of helping protect Koalas​

​HSE have worked closely with NRMA's in house content team to help amplify the partnership - telling the stories of the burnt and injured koalas on their road to recovery, along with highlighting the incredible work of the volunteers at the hospital. During the Covid-19 pandemic, when members of the public were unable to visit the hospital, we helped deliver "Koala Help", a virtual school excursion hosted by Dr Chris Brown (aka The Bondi Vet) on Facebook, for kids and their parents to venture behind the scenes and be front row for a koala release back in the wild
